A carefully-written title for your web page can enhance your
site exposure and attract more visitors. Here's how to write
an effective web page title.
What is a web page title?
In your web page HTML code, the page title (also called the
title element or just the title) is the text that is
enclosed by the opening and closing TITLE tags.
The title should be placed between the HEAD tags, ideally
just after the beginning HEAD tag and before the first META
tag.
The title is one of the most important elements of a web page for a variety of reasons.
*Most browsers will display your page with the title at
the top of the browser window.
*If visitors bookmark your page in their browsers, their
bookmark lists will show your page using just the title.
Many web page titles default to "Home Page." So if the
title of your web page is "Home Page", your visitors'
bookmark lists will contain a lot of "Home Page"
listings.
*Google and other search engines present the results of
a search by displaying page titles as links in the first
line of each query result. Search engines doesn't like
to display "Home Page" as the best they can do for a
user searching for "purple people eaters," for example.
*Most search engines will order the results of a search
engine query based on the relevancy of your page to the
keywords used for the query. One of the factors in
determining this relevancy is how closely your title
matches these keywords. If your small startup company
makes purple people eaters, don't give your home page
the title "Unknown Business, Inc." It's not relevant to
the search.
You can see that the title of your web page is highly
visible to others, and it can impact the search engine
ranking and visibility of your web page. It is therefore
worthwhile to spend some time carefully writing each page
title.
Practical tips for writing page titles.
Here are some practical tips you can use for crafting an
effective web page title.
*Start by thinking hard about how your potential
visitors will search for your site. What keywords or
keyword phrases will they use for a search engine query?
Use one or two of the most important keyword phrases for
your title. In our example, the home page title could be
"Purple People Eaters."
*Don't just use the same title for all your web site
pages. Your About page title could be "About Unknown
Business, Inc., Your Source for Purple People Eaters."
Your Order page title could be "How to Order Purple
People Eaters."
*Don't include your company name in the title unless it
is a commonly recognized name or the page is about your
company. Use the limited real estate in a title for
relevant keywords. You can include your company name in
the description META tag of your web page.
*Make sure the title does not exceed 66 characters.
Google will not display more than 66 characters of a
title in the search results page. Truncated titles
irritate search engine users.
*Don't use more than 7-10 words in your title.
*Be careful when using some web page generators or
editors. Many will either ignore the title or make up an
ineffective title like "your title goes here."
Summary.
Understand what the title element of a web page is, why it
is important, and follow these practical tips for writing
your web page titles. Your internet visibility will be
improved, you will improve your search engine ranking, and
you will get more visitors to your web site.

It's No Good Having A Killer Product If You Don't Have A Killer Website
It's No Good Having A Killer Product If You Don't Have A Killer Website

Read the title of this article over a couple of times in your head so it really starts to sink in.
So what does this title really mean. Well, there's no beating around the bush with this one... it means exactly what it says.
If your site is NOT an order-pulling, money-sucking mean machine then it's not really worth promoting your product, whether it's a killer product or not.
It is vital that your site has a well-written and extremely powerful sales letter that will hook your prospects and reel them in like a fish.
Your goal is to walk your prospect through your sales letter straight to your order page where they will be so excited, they would have already whipped out their credit card from their wallets.
"Your Site MUST Influence Visitors To Buy"
Now ask yourself this... "I have an amazing product but do I really have a killer...

The Universal Law of Attraction Never, Ever Goes On Strike
by: Steve Bailey
There are numerous sources on the store bookshelves and the
Internet that cover the topic of how our Consciousness shapes our reality through thought and feeling.
.. and it's easy to glaze over it when you've read it over
and over:
Like Attracts Like, and staying focused on a single goal gets you to that goal.
And what eventually happens after reading enough material on this, is that this constant re-hash of this principle of The Law Of
Attraction can start to blur on your scale of importance.
It just loses its position on your radar.
You might then make the mistake of seeing these Universal
principles as merely:
Inspirational and Feel-Good. The
new ideas then start sounding old, and they get relegated to
merely being something that promote a "Positive Attitude"

Time To Say Goodbye To Submission Software?
Time To Say Goodbye To Submission Software?
by: Paul Fisher
It?s generally agreed in SEM circles that search engine submission is dead, or at least mass-submission is dead.
Firstly, there are only a handful of engines left that are real traffic generators and, secondly, this handful would prefer to find your site than have it forced down their neck.
So can someone tell me why are there still submission software titles being sold?
Well, someone did tell me.
I recently exchanged a series of emails with Michael Kovnick of Cyberspace HQ, the company behind Addweb, and it provided me with the ideal opportunity to discuss the submission software debate.
The latest version of Addweb claims to ?Submit your website to thousands of search engines instantly?.
Now any SEM professional will know that many of these ?search engines? will be nothing more than link farms, and the automated submission of websites to...
Fast Money Making
by: Jack Sinclair
Fast money making sounds like the world of con artists.
But what if it wasn't? I find that fast money making is really a mental state of mind more than anything.
For instance, there's a Clickbank book called "Emergency Cash Generators", and I bought it.
I read it.
And wow - it works!
Over 100 fast money making systems - all legitimate and kosher.
Like the peephole idea. Go to a new suburb and install a new peephole on the front doors of those shiny new homes.
That's right - fast money making doesn't need to be underworld.
Anyone can do it, you just need to believe it can be done.
Of course, on the web, fast money making is the basis of all the matrix programs, those money programs that don't really have a product, but you can make money if you get in at the top. In matrix programs, people that don't join in the first 2 days usually never...

Pros And Cons Of Getting VOIP Right Now
by: Ron King
You have a telephone, right? You have a computer, right? You want to save money, right? BAM, you are a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) candidate.
It is inevitable that VOIP will replace traditional telephone service at some point. The only question is when should you jump in?
VOIP is quickly becoming more reliable and receiving wider acceptance. In fact, phone companies are already taking advantage of the technology to provide cheaper long distance rates. Like any emerging technology, however, there are kinks in the system that are still being worked out.
Advantages
VOIP has many advantages over regular phone service. One primary advantage is its low cost. If you have a fast Internet connection (DSL or cable), you can make PC-to-PC phone calls anywhere in the world FREE. PC-to-phone connections usually have a charge, but probably still cheaper than regular phone service....

Brian Urlacher
by: Bob Johnson
Born in May 1978, this Pasco, Washington native is now an NFL linebacker for the Chicago Bears. As a child, Brian Urlacher moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with his mother. Following high school, Brian went on to attend college at the University of Mexico. It was here that he shined as a strong safety for the University football team. Upon graduation, he immediately began pursuing his goal to play professional football and was drafted by the NFL?s Chicago Bears. While most of his experience was as a safety position, he was assigned the position of middle linebacker for the Bears, which gave him the opportunity to showcase his tackling abilities, intelligence, speed and aggressive approach toward winning. An instant star, Urlacher was awarded the title of NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2000. Such recognition is not an easy feat, but everything seemed to fall in place for the youngster as he quickly rose to the top...
